No, they don't, it needs to be layered, go to a stylist and let her know you have extensions in, make sure she knows and has cut extensions before because there is a different technique to cutting them, just have them trimmed and layered to look more natural. I'm sorry to be debbie downer, I'm only giving a truthful professional opinion, I'm not judging.

Absolutely! I do razor cuts all the time for men and women. It gives great texture to the hair and lightly tapers the ends of the hair so it isn't so blunt looking. You can also ask for your hair to be texturized with a razor. Looks awesome!

i have extremely thick brown hair that is about 5-7 inches below my shoulder. i want to be able to get that total look with it looking like that, not looking like a thick mass of hair! with thick hair it tends to poof out toward the ends and i think that cut will control it so it lays flatter and actually is thinner at the bottom.

what do you think? is it possible to get that cut with thick hair and look exactly like that?

Absolutely - there are a few tricks to get extremely thick hair to get some movement. One - called slithering - is done my taking open shears and moving down the length to thin it a bit to allow it to move.

Go to you're hair cutter with this picture, ask them to thin some hair out (they call it making it "lighter"), then ask for a blunt cut. (layers just add volume)

Once you get the blunt cut, ask them to flat iron it.

if you get your hair layered, which she has in the pic, then it will feel lighter whether its cut like hers or not.

i dont see any problems with you getting your hair cut like this, however if your hair isnt as straight as hers, which hers could have been straightened before the pics, it will be alot of work.

if you are gunna need to straighten your hair every couple of days (to get rid of the 'poof') your gunna end up needing either a treatment for afterwards or a protective gel so your hair doesnt dry out too much and look ugly.

just as an fyi, straightening can damage your hair, and can be quite a timely activity depending on length and thickness.

It will not look like that exactly unless you put major work into it. If you do cut your hair like that I say try thinning your hair out and getting a hair straightener. I also have thick and at times unruly hair and it's a pain keeping it in check so really think about how much time you're willing to put into it everyday.

Your hairstlye is nice already, but if you really want to change you could go with dark brown lowlights or highlights, loose curls, and a side swept bang.

That's me. It's my natural hair color %26amp; I want to know if I should color it or no. I was also wondering if I should cut my hair. I got it drastically cut last October. It was "scene" %26amp; "emo" but I grew all of the choppy layers %26amp; side bangs out. It still has shorter pieces where the layers/bangs were but nothing like before. Long layers and a few highlights around your face. Don't change the overall color.

You have pretty eyes so lay off the heavy black liner all the way around the eye. A charcoal gray on the outer third of the bottom and outer 2/3 of the upper smudged with shadow of same color would look better. Do not line the inside of the lids.

As far as your hair goes I think you should leave it as it is. Maybe you can go a lighter blonde but you shouldn't go darker it would only take away from your beautiful green eyes and complexion.....in other words jet black is definitely out. I think you should leave it wavy and curly as it is also since straight and flat would put your face out of proportion.......just my opinion

Hi! I honestly think that you should leave your natural color, I think you have a perfect hair color for your skin color. On my personal experience If I had a second chance in life whether dye my hair or not I would not make the big mistake of doing it again I think that there's nothing better that being your self, and just be all natural, and not a fake or better yet a imitation of your self. I think your hair looks great both curly and straight. But it can use some low-lights, not highlights. This means you dye some of your hair 2 shades darker than the rest. This will make you look more balanced. Right now you are very light colored overall. Secondly, your makeup needs to be suited to your color palette. Using black sharp eyeliner is making the rest of you disappear. All we can see is the eye liner, AND NOT EVEN YOUR EYES. So what you would want to do is choose a lighter brown color liner and instead of drawing a sharp line, do a light, smokey eye look with the lighter brown shadow. This color will then be matched up with the low-lights in the hair, making your hair actually appear in the picture. When you achieve this balance, then the actual green of your eyes will pop, because it will be the only light color part. See what I mean?

Anytime you want a look like the girl in your second pic, you need to see a professional colorist. She doesn't have just one color going on there. Your picture shows that you dyed your hair yourself and you will only get one color. Black hair has to be colored in steps, if going lighter. The first one being the lightening of your hair and then the adding of color.

Don't attempt to do this yourself. Seek out a pro and you will get the results you want.

I would put thin highlights all over. Highlights basically just bleach the hair so it should definately take out the brassiness, just be sure to keep it in for the maximum time before you rinse it out. Then when the hair is dry and brushed it will blend in with your darker hair and give you an allover lighter haircolor.

Sounds like you have the dreaded "pyramid" look. Look for a stylist who uses the slicing method. I have long, naturally curly hair about an inch below my shoulders when dry, and 4 inches below them when wet.

Although the slicing method sounds scary, it it isn't. It involves strategically snipping pieces of the hair so it enhances the natural curl and removes the excess weight.

I don't where you live, but you can call salons in your area and ask who can handle curly hair. Also look at ouidad.com for more curly hair info.

If you are worried about a stylist cutting off too much hair, do what I do. Emphasize over and over again EXACTLY how much you want cut off the ends, and watch them like a hawk.

Also, NEVER let a stylist layer your hair, and if they pull out a razor, run like hell.
