I have very curly hair.I'm 14 and need some hair style ideas.How do can i keep my from getting so short when it drys? I DON'T like my hair straight!

I also have very curly hair. Here's what I do to help define the curl: I use multiple anti-frizz products, my favorites are Frizz Ease Dream Curls and the anti-frizz serum. I've also used a "styling milk" that works great too (can't remember the brand, but it's something you can find at the drugstore and comes in a black pump bottle).

I work the serum through, starting with the ends, then spray on the Dream Curls. Using the styling milk or similar texture anti-frizz product, I take sections of hair, about 1/2" or so around, and twirl them around my finger, working all over the top and some underneath. You could do this with all of you hair, but it just takes too long for me to bother. Then I scrunch with a towel to get the curls nice and springy.

I've been using this technique for a while and saw that Nick Arrojo, from TLC's What Not to Wear, has done the same thing with really curly hair. It helps keep the curls defined which is what I notice about the picture you posted of what you want your hair to look like.

I blow dry my hair with a diffuser because my is fine and lays too flat for my taste. I think you could let yours air dry, or dry it partially with the diffuser and let it air dry the rest of the way.

Have you tried a mousse, or other hair product to keep your hair sleek and smooth. If it means anything, I love your hair dry, it's beautiful.

just grow your hair out and it will look cute or get extentions...my hair is really curly like that too sometimes i straighten it but not all the way so it looks wavy/curlyish or your can scrunch it with gel when its wet

when your hair is wet use a curl relaxing product to make the curls more controllable

I know how you feel my hair is the same way but i can't find anything to work. Have you tried a relaxer or frizz ease. I helped a bit with my hair. Try the web site below to see the products.

You could try a relaxer or putting gel on it, since gel is heavy it would pull your curls down. Good luck!

OK you've seriously got a problem . personally i love curly and straight hair ! but if you don't there's a few things you can do ! go online and on google images and type in hairstyles ! you may find a few there or go to a special Afro hair dresser they could help u with hair styles they've got loads of books with hundreds of hair styles ! if you still ain't got any luck then be who you are love your hair love you !!!!!!!!!!

i dont have curly hair myself, but i have heard of people with really curly hair straightening it at night, and then in the morning putting mousse in it and scrunching it to get a more relaxed curly style.:)

or you could straighten it and then use a spiral curling iron for special occasions, either way your hair is quite pretty!

I sooooo completely feel you on this, I have curly hair also. What I've found works best for me to keep it from going like that is moisture moisture moisture and a little bit of mousse or gel. I use Dove intense therapy moisture shampoo and conditioner, but only shampoo every other time I condition. I also use Dove's intense moisture leave in spray conditioner daily. Gel versus mousse is all personal preference, but the combination of all that moisture combined with the control agent (I use super hold) helps the hair to stay slightly more controlled, and flat when it dries. Or at least that's the experience I've had. Good luck!

Heya u hav gorgeous hair and i have a friend who has hair just like yours. She has problems with hers too.

Have you ever tried having your hair in low pigtails (bring it round right by ya neck)? It always looks nice with curly hair and it can also make your hair look longer.
