medium lenght hair that is thick is best with some medium to long layers. You can also have it thinned out from underneath to reduce bulk. If your hair is curly, or wavy or otherwise untamable be prepared to have to flat iron or curl your hair when you have layers. But, it will look better in the long run. Good luck.
