What parts of my hair should I dye [pictures]?

I have short, all-natural dark blonde hair. I'd like to dye it either a dark purple, or a very light lavender-purple (I'm leaning more towards dark, for the contrast)

-I wash my hair nearly every day because of sports - will purple hold out well, or should I try to shampoo less often?

-I usually leave my hair mostly unstyled and close to my head, wear my sweatshirt's hood, or wear headbands/clips - very little hair product, and it's never pulled back.

-If anybody has a preferred brand that offers purple dye, let me know, especially if it's not permanent - I can't get it done if it'll last more than like, two months.

Honestly I prefer to use Punky colors by jerome russel, I find that it stays the longest and it's easy to use. If you can't get that brand try manic panic. I'd also use colour stay shampoo, a salon variety if you can afford it. I wouldn't worry about the colour lasting too long since purple dyes only come in temporary or semi permanent. As for where to dye it, I'd do streaks in different areas and layers of your hair, though not on the to layer.

i think you look like you should go darker because lavendar kinda seems to girls for you. No offence.

Dye the front from the part over. only a small section (2") starting about two inches back. Then a smaller strip in the very front on the other side. Deep purple would be best.

you should have some of your bangs a light purple, and have dark purple underneath your back layers, so it shows, but it's nicer than just having it on your top layers. when you wash your hair, make sure you only do it when it's absolutely nessesary or the color will not stay as long, and when you do wash it look for color stay shampoo and conditioner. it's good that you don't put in hair product but you should explore new styles to show off you color, and i don't really know what brand although i used special effects once and it worked well for me, and my hair is a little darker than yours :)
